While I loved the Rizzoli&Isles premiere, I am not pleased with how they handled Lee Thompson Young’s real life death. Instead of killing the character of Frost off in an accident, I would have preferred they done it as it happened in real life, suicide. I understand that may have been harder for the cast and crew to go through, but it was a valuable teaching moment about depression and suicide that was missed. Often people don’t discuss things or have their eyes opened to subjects until they are shown them head-on in television, movies or books. It’s not often shows go there and it really could have helped someone, maybe even saved a life.
